Q: Is it allowed to register the owners or partner?

A: It is not allowed to register the employer or the partners of all companies except shareholders of public joint-stock companies. It is to be noted that the Authority is considering the scheme for insurance coverage to the self-employed and professional Omanis and alike.


Q: When the worker should be registered?
A: The Authority should be informed of the registration or termination of the worker within a maximum period of 15 days from the termination or joining date, and the delay will result in charge of an additional amount of RO.5/- per month.


Q: what are the registration procedures?
A: Please refer to the System for the Omani employed by the private sector inside Oman.


Q: The procedures for submission of the worker's registration form may get delayed for more than 15 days from the joining date due to reason beyond control of the employer, which results in additional charges due to delay of registration. How these additional charges are avoided?
A: The Authority may be approached for submission of the worker's registration form for obtaining the follow up stamp in order to complete the procedures thereby avoiding the additional charges.


Q: How do I get the registration forms?
A: The registration forms may be obtained from the Authority's head-office or any of its regional offices, even online.


Q: What is the permanent insurance number card? How is it obtained?
A: The permanent insurance number card is issued to every insured, and it shows the particulars of the insured. The employer's authorized representative should obtain this card for all the insured workers who are in the service. However, if the insured is suspended, he may personally approach the Authority.
